Sorry, just got back from New Jersey for new job orientation.
It's been a busy 3 days. Anyways, the pictures are slowly coming along.

It's been a while since I posted but I've been on vacation.
We just got back from 2 trips.

1. 3 days outlet shopping in Birch Run with our friends Paul, Miki, Brandon, and Tiffany.
2. 5 days in Orlando, Florida.

I'll have to post some pictures but haven't had the time to upload from my camera to the computer yet. Been busy with house chores. Got the garage opener installed with my dad's help. It is quite a task ! Not as easy and quick as I had envisioned. Nevertheless, it's done.

Anyways, pictures will be uploaded later this week and I'll give more details about the trip too.

Some news ...

I QUIT !!!

That's right ... I have quit the infamous retailer Canadian Tire and jumped ship to a database and applications company called Oracle. After 5 years with "The Tire", it was time to move on to something new and more challenging. I won't rule out ever returning to The Tire but at this stage, picking up on some consulting experience won't hurt.

Life will not be the same as my time at Canadian Tire has been slow paced for a little over a year now. At Oracle, the pace will be lightning speed and the stress will be high. Then again, that's the way I like it. Might as well take advantage of my youthfulness (yeah right!) and take the heat now.

As far as the house is concerned, nothing new has changed since the table and chairs went in. We did buy a new vacuum cleaner (oooo!! exciting! NOT!) from Canadian Tire at 50% off. Really good deal on the bagless Hoover model. Our old vacuum lasted us over 7 years so I've demoted it to garage duties for cleaning of the car. We plan to look for a new mattress soon and put up a couple of more curtains in the house.

Anyways, I'll keep everyone posted....

Dining Table and Chairs (updated with pic)

The next time (or first time) you come over, you will notice that we got ourselves a brand new mohogany dining table and 6 leather chairs. Our first big furniture purchase for the new house ! The table is from Pier 1 while the chairs are from GH Johnson. We didn't splurge on the items but kept it to a manageable budget.

The house is starting to come together. Still a lot to do but we are taking the approach of "a little at a time" ...
