Quickie

On assignment in Richmond, Virginia for the next little while so the blogs will be short and few...

The grass turned yellow and brown. Yes, grass can actually turn that colour .... when it's DEAD !!!! I guess improper treatment of grass can do that. We have been watering it like crazy, i.e. 2 to 3 hours each night. The recent rain has helped. No pictures as it's quite embarrassing since the neighbour has done a great job while we haven't. The contrast is obvious.

Anyways, we are working on prepping our patio area in the backyard and I'll have pictures out this weekend....

The Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side

Well, maybe not in this case since the grass is actually on our side.
Here are a couple of pictures. Also, I found out that we won't be getting the sidewalk on our side !!! YIPEEE ! No shovelling !!

Dope !

It's been 2 weeks since I last posted. I've been away on training in Chicago. Really nice city. Traffic is crazy though.

Anyways, I'm spending the week at home and one of the workers from our builder Aspen Ridge came by to resolve some of the deficiencies. He did well with the screen door and the drywall patch in our main bathroom. However, he royally screwed up the scratch on our 7th step. There was a big scratch on our stairwell when we first moved in. Apparently, the lazy ass guy who stained our stairwell decided not to sand out the scratch before applying the stain. What a dumbass. So yesterday, the worker sanded the area down and applied a new stain. Guess what ! He used the WRONG stain ! WTF !!

Well, we contacted Aspen Ridge with a couple of e-mails and a contractor dropped by to say that the worker should have sanded down the entire step and then actually apply the correct CAPPUCINO stain. Mr. I DON'T KNOW MY STAINS is here right now fixing the problem he caused. He has sanded down the entire step and someone will show up later to apply the CORRECT stain. Meu Deus !
