Friggin HOT !!!

It is filthy hot here in Richmond. Seriously, the temperatures are 38 Celsius with the humidex making it feel like 48 Celsius. Man is it hot ! At night, it doesn't get any better. Can you believe that once it gets dark here, the temperatures are 30 Celsius !!!

Anyways, we plan to buy a BBQ this weekend so the hookup process will be interesting. Also, we'll fill in the patio area with some crushed gravel. Actual patio stones won't be laid till next year. We want to wait for the ground to settle. BBQ invites will go out pending successful installation. Wish us luck !

Yes, I need to show everyone some pictures but consulting life has taken up some of my time away from home. Also, when I'm at home, I try my best to stay away from a computer. It's all called balance. I'll get to it someday.

What to write ?

.............. oh, yeah, I should write something now, shouldn't I?
Been away from the blogging for 2 weeks. Had a great weekend celebrating Janny's birthday everyday. As always, it was all about the food --> Italian, Indian, and Japanese. Don't you just love Toronto. Think of some type of food and BAM ! it's available. We visited the ROM on Saturday courtesy of some free tickets from Nik & Andi. There was this special exhibit on Andy Warhol and let me tell you, this guy is one weird dude. He is obsessed with celebrities, death, and violence. Some of the strangest art I have ever seen. Trust me on this one ... skip it. They were also having a big sale at Caban on Queen Street so Janny walked in and picked up a garbage can. Got a deal $35-->$15-->$10. Like I said, big sale. Dinner on Friday night at Via Allegro was absolutely amazing ... food was great and the BIG pepper shaker was hilarious. You'll have to go sometime. Difficult to explain.

Anyways, another week in exciting Richmond, Virginia....

Busy busy busy ....

Man ... life as a consultant is getting busy and the little time I have is not spent blogging. Thus, I've been MIA for longer periods of time in between posts.

I am currently in Richmond, Virginia and let me tell you, their downtown core is less busy than their suburb areas. That's because they have no housing downtown, i.e. condos, apartments, homes. There is no residential. Weird but that's the way it is. Anyhow, the food is pretty good in the few restaurants they have around the area. Lunch in various office building cafeterias is the norm but the facilities are quite nice and the variety of food is better than your typical food court. Some is even cooked right in front of you similar to the Marche. A couple of times, some of us head out to the suburbs for some "different" food but the Indian buffet seems to peak our interest the most.

Okay ... back to the house... so Janny is working hard on the grass and doing a really good job. The grass is much greener and it looks like it'll need a cut this weekend. That's my job on Friday. We plan to deepen the area where we removed the sod for the patio so that should happen on Saturday if all goes well. I know I promised pictures but like I said, the time I have spent back in Toronto is not spent blogging.

What else...what else....ummm... really, once I get back into a more consistent schedule where I am actually at home on Fridays (starting this week), I'll try my best to write more. Hopefully, no one has lost their patience waiting for me to write but I'm sure some fans will continue to read. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer...
